Entering Lab Test Results
Lab test results are central to environmental compliance tracking. Here's how to enter and manage them in NVES.
Accessing Lab Results
Navigate to your project and click the "Lab Results" tab. Click "Add New Result" to enter a new test.
Required Fields
- Test Date — When the sample was collected
- Sample Location — Where on the site the sample was taken
- Test Type — The type of analysis performed
- Results — Measured values with units
- Compliance Status — Whether results meet regulatory standards
Uploading Lab Reports
You can attach the original lab report PDF to any result entry. Supported formats include PDF, CSV, and Excel files up to 50MB.
Impact on Project Status
When you mark a result as non-compliant (is_compliant = 0), the system automatically updates the project's contamination status and map marker color. This ensures stakeholders are immediately aware of any issues.
