Understanding Decision Tree Nodes
Each node in the compliance wizard's decision tree serves a specific purpose. Understanding them helps you navigate the wizard effectively.
Question Nodes
These are branching points that ask a specific Yes/No question about your project. Examples include:
- "Is the site within 30 meters of a watercourse?"
- "Has the site been used for industrial purposes?"
- "Are petroleum products stored on-site?"
Your answer determines which path the wizard follows.
Action Nodes
Action nodes provide information, instructions, or recommendations. They have a single "Continue" button and are used to deliver important context between questions.
Endpoint Nodes
These are terminal nodes that provide your final compliance assessment. They include:
- Applicable regulations and standards
- Required permits or approvals
- Recommended site assessments
- Suggested timelines for compliance
Visual Layout
The wizard displays in a two-column layout: the decision flowchart on the left and the current question or information on the right. This gives you context about where you are in the process.
